Post-production: Visual editing decision

 Introduction:

Me and my teammate decide to use editing techniques like cut away, eye line match cut, fade out, dolly zoom and shoot reverse shot. We choose this because this way we can get different angles of the same thing, for example we used cut away techniques for the dead boy to show different areas of her body, the angle and direction she fell in, and where she died. We used the cut away to show the dead body, we used the eyeline match to show what Jessica is looking at in her sleep/vison that makes her realize that her best friend committed the murder, the dolly zoom for dramatic effect in the beginning for the villian board, fade out at the end to show the title, and shot reverse shot for when the bullies confront Jessica and lilith in the hallway. My teammate did most of the editing for the movie because Im not every good at editing but I try to help him when I can like with the dolly zoom and fade out. We used CapCut and Imovies   for our editing and combining of takes/scenes.

Post-production: Audio Editing

Introduction:

My teammate jumped at the chance to choose and edit our score for us, I helped him choose and pick the tone of which the music has to be/ represent. Within this exercise I got to understand how different music genres clash and merge with movie genre and how we both have specific music tastes that also matches our movie genre and some of its scenes, so we used some of the songs in our playlists as well as searching online for stereotypical "horror" and "thriller" music that people would usually hear in these times of money. to make the score. He made the score in order of appreance and I added and put the music in order of where they should be in the movie.
